Happy Photo Viewer is a lightweight application that enables you to transform your computer into a player where you can check out your pictures as a slide show that you can customize with your favorite transitions and music.
Minimalistic and intuitive layout
The program comes with a very basic interface that enables you to preview the drives as well as the folders on your computer on one side and the photos included in them in the right panel. It is important to note that you are unable to view pictures individually by clicking on them and that you cannot zoom in or out using the mouse.
Therefore, if you want to catch a better glimpse of them, you can use the scale in the upper section. It would have been nice if the app allowed you to zoom in and out using the mouse's wheel and be able to open pictures by simply clicking on them.
Enables you to view your photo collection as a slide show
The strong point of the application comes from the fact that you can inspect all pictures in a slide show. You should know that you are able to choose between 256 transition effects without over-soliciting your GPU. In addition, you can control the interval between slides and set the effects to change sequential or random.
The program also allows you to alter the picture layout as well as change the color of the background and frame. In case you want the slide show to be more interesting, you should keep in mind that you can include your favorite tracks in any desired order.
If necessary, you can set the app to display the geographic info associated with the photo. Then again, if you want to retrieve the geographic data, you need to be connected to the Internet.
On the downside, the utility only works with limited types of photos, namely PNG, JPG and JPEG, and it would be nice if it supported more file formats.

All in all, Happy Photo Viewer is an interesting tool that enables you to check out your photo directories as an interesting slide show.
